People often ask us is there anything they can do to help (that doesnt involve money) as we do understand not everyone can afford to give a donation due to circumstances,
Well good news there are many ways you CAN help!!!
For instance we are constantly expanding due to the ever increasing amount of unwanted animals coming in and being rehomed , therefore we are always looking for building materials ,Think about it how many times have you had a job done and had something left over ....Some paving slabs a spare bag of cement? these types of items would be gratefully recieved and put to good use !
However please be aware of distance we do appreciate any donations of materials but if you were from scotland for instance then it it would be far from practical to recieve them no matter how well meaning due to fuel costs/time and finding someone with the time and heart of gold to go and fetch it.
What else?
Volunteering!
Granted as we do appreciate people wanting to volunteer to walk dogs , but honestly what we really need is for instance logistics and fit and able people to help out with fencing (an endless task!) skilled workers brickies chippies and so on ...we have one very dedicated volunteer here who does all these things but alas we have not perfected cloning him so the work progresses slowly but surely.
Fostering!
We are always on the look out for people willing to look after needy dogs and other animals e.g horses, ponies, goats, pigs etc etc short and long term .... all we ask is that you are willing to undergo a premises check to ensure that it is suitable for the task at hand .
Logistics!
We are looking for people in the carmarthenshire area especially who are able and willing to pick up items for us i.e donations ,as im sure you understand with the rising price of fuel and less and less free time due to the huge influx of animals this is becoming harder and harder for us to do without outside help!
Raising funds!
How about doing a raffle, or a bootsale or maybe a coffie morning?
